<p>Stanford almost certainly will not revoke your admission simply due to one or two subpar IB scores (I’m talking a 4 or, at the very lowest, a 3) unless they are coupled with other drops in academic performance in other areas (GPA, class rank, etc.). On the two SL tests that I took last year (I am taking 3 HL tests, 1 SL tests, and 2 AP tests this year), I got a 6 on Math SL and a 4 on Chem SL. I sent the scores to Stanford along with the rest of my application package, and obviously they met the standards. However, if I was planning on being a math or chemistry major, then these scores would probably not be high enough, and Stanford would probably be disappointed that I didn’t take them Higher Level. So make sure that you are testing HL in your areas of focus, and that you do well on those HL tests. Stanford probably will not mind if you make it clear that you want to major in engineering, and then get a 3 or 4 on the IB English exam. It’ll help if you get a 6 or 7 on the HL Math test as well : )
Now to answer your other question, Stanford has General Education requirements that you have to fulfill while at Stanford. I believe that it is possible to test out of non-major requirements by submitting IB HL or AP scores. While I’m not sure what Stanford’s policy is, most schools of that caliber only use 5’s on AP tests and 6’s or 7’s on IB HL tests in order to determine course placement (you can skip some intro level courses, if you so choose) and to determine credit earned.
Send Stanford your scores. It’ll raise a red flag if you told them that you would take the IB tests and then you don’t submit any scores from them.</p>

<p>When I applied I told them I was doing the diploma but I blew off the IB tests and didn’t even get it. So don’t worry about it.</p>
<p>Stanford - l;ike most of the Ivy’s - is considering not using the APs at all. They believe you will learn more in English at Stanford than in AP English at Disney High School.</p>
<p>As I understand it, schools like Stanford don’t care about your IB scores at all unless you plan to use them for placement or credit. There might be an exception if the IB score is your final high school “grade,” but in that case it would be on your final high school report anyway.</p>
<p>Actually Stanford has not accepted AP Eng Lang or Lit for years. They also do not accept AP Bio. As for IB scores, if you want credit for the tests that they will give credit for (few), then you must send the official transcript from IBO. For example, Stanford give 10 credits for HL math score of 6 or 7. It also gives 10 credits for AP Calc BC score of 5 (not sure if they accept a 4). But a student may only earn a maximum of 10 credits in one subject so you will not get credit for both tests. Stanford does not give credit fot HL English or HL History. Search the Stanford Bulletin for details on AP and IB credit.
In a nutshell: you only need to send the official transcript of IB test scores if you want credit.</p>
