As IB testing is now upon us, I am wondering if the tests really mean anything. If you do really well, can you place out of classes or not? What happens if you fail all your IB tests? Just wondering…

I asked the admission officer at Cornell. He said that during admission, they will only consider your predicted scores. If you fail your IB test, then they will trash your admission letter;P and does not allow you to enter.

That’s a joke, right?

There’s information here http://www.arts.cornell.edu/preorientation/page8.php about which IB tests Arts and Sciences gives credit for. The situation may not be the same in the other colleges, though.

I hope thats a joke…:)
