at my school, rutgers, i know plenty of people that got analyst jobs at the bb firms. but yeah, i agree with ‘transfer’. people are just talking out of their butts and confusing the heck out of others.

Is Swarthmore in the list of recruited schools for IBanks?

“Analyst” and “Associate” are terms used for all divsions of BB firms not just for their IBankers.

Is UCLA business Econ recruited…

is UCLA recruited? I am referring to the business econ program that they have

from what I’ve read on other threads, no

for LA yea, for NYC not as much but they have a strong alumni network and you can definatly get a job.

think about this, there are really only 2 schools in LA (USC and UCLA) and then a few LACs like Clarmont and Ponoma but by and large most kids who come from Cali to to LA banking are USC or UCLA.

guys i just got an email from the program co ordinator for bizecon… she said… a lot of their graduates do work in IB…
our threads have never mentioned UCLA…???

Emory gets recruited, especially in the Atlanta area. I know of two people who work for Lehman, and one who works for Blackstone. Getting the job in NY is a little tougher without some networking, but it’s not too hard. (all three of these people graduated from my cousin’s class - 2000.)

is william and mary recruited

not really heavily.

what’s up with all this about Ibanks not recruiting at UCLA???

i’ve definitely seen goldman sachs, lehman bros, morgan stanley, merrill lynch, UBS, citigroup, etc. on campus at UCLA (for undergrad).

the only big name firm i HAVENT seen on campus is mckinsey, but that’s a consulting firm.

how about U of Chicago?

U chicago is heavily recruited

Baruch. They graduate the largest number of financial professionals in NYC (that includes Stern), have the largest trading floor (that includes Stern), and a significant number of grads end up in I-Banking. Largest number of internship positions as well.

Most I-Bankers, though, only get to do grunt work until their MBAs (except when daddy is a large investor, or is a partner.)

Agreed. Baruch is well represented on the street.

how sad is tht… there are so many good schools(very highly ranked) that arent even considered for recruiting… and bharuch is recruited heavily out of all the places…

it’s in NYC.

dont forget fordham

one of my good buddies goes to fordham and says recruiting at fordham is weak, he had to get a lehman internship on his own
