IBank's list of recruitment schools

yeah… fordham’s recruitment is weak.

William & Mary was the most recruited school last year by Deutsche Bank’s investment banking analyst program.

why do i feel that i learned basically nothing from reading this enormous thread?.. it doesnt seemt that many of us know too much of what we’re talking about…

“William & Mary was the most recruited school last year by Deutsche Bank’s investment banking analyst program.”

Well depends on what you mean by “most recruited”…Wharton UG had more offers for full-time but at Wharton DB offers tend to be shot down for other banks.

A Wharton degree is rapidly becoming a commodity.

Do you have a comprehensive list of what companies recruit on-campus at W&M? Thanks

You’ll have to go to this webpage for that info: http://www.wm.edu/career/index.cfm</a> . I know that the primary consulting recruiters are the Big 4 and their spinoffs (Accenture, etc.) not to mention Booz Allen. Biggest i-bank recruiters are Deutsche, Lehman and JP Morgan.

I can say that W&M does have good recruiting - even for non-IBanking/non-business positions as well. I know this because when I was a UVa student, I happened upon a W&M employment expo when I was attending a student conference in Williamsburg.

(Unfortunately for W&M, instead of a W&M student getting a summer associate position at my company, I ended up being hired.) ;)

i just looked at hteir finance placement and barely any students went to ibanks, can some one show me a link showing ur claim that w & m recruiting is good

is CMU recruited by top banks for FRONT OFFICE in either trading or investment banking?

specifically Tepper and Computational finance majors

how about London School of Economics? is it heavily recruited in the US?

it better be cause I am going there this year…

is emory recruited?

Whats the obsession with being some nouveau riche prick, nobody seems to like them. You cant just suddenly start making money, those are the tackiest people on earth.

^Watch Scarface, Wall Street or Boiler Room a couple of times…It might help you understand our obsession…Just might

Tony Montana has nothing to do with banking. Yeah, the movies are cool and all, but if they were based on fact (room filled with depressed, sweaty, kids in front of computers all day) they wouldn’t sell all that well, would they?

I hate it when people think of Ibanking as just M&A, there are cool, yet depressed and scary people in S&T too, they just have more time on their hands because they pretty much work market hours.

I’ve not seen a lot about Dartmouth mentioned here so i’ll give my 2 cents:

Off-term recruting: ML, Blackrock, Citi, DB, UBS, Lehman, JP Morgan, GSC, Bridgewater will do on campus recruting for Dartmouth off terms (Fall, Winter, Spring) and can be a great time to break in and get an internship / potential offer without competition from other schools

summer intern recruiting: everyone comes to campus, names above plus Goldman and a few smaller boutiques without off term interns

Senior Fall (corporate real-job recruting): Everyone. The list when i checked it on Dartmouth MonsterTrak for on campus recruting was over 30 firms in financial services.

Dartmouth is extremely well represented across ibanking, hedgefunds, and PE
With top guys at GS, DB, ML PE, and some others.

Here are the top firms hiring Villanova finance majors from the class of 2006:
(in no particular order)
Goldman Sachs
Merrill Lynch
Smith Barney
Morgan Stanley
JPMorgan Chase
Credit Suisse
Deutsche Bank
Back of America Securities
Citigroup
J&J

Anyone know how heavily Howard University business majors are recruited by IB’s? If so, is it due to the caliber of their business school, or b/c the black students are a easy quota filler? lol (BTW I’m black)
