Hi, this is a survey. Does your school differentiate IB diploma with four highers or with three highers in terms of “most rigorous course” in school

Sadly, my school doesn’t even offer four highers…

mine doesn’t either, I didn’t even know IB existed until i moved to the state i’m in now. But I think the other HS in the system i’m in designates 4 highers as the absolute most rigorous.

You can actually go beyond four higher levels. A friend of mine has taken six higher levels over a period of two (technically, three) years.

Math HL (in grades 10 and 11, certificate)
Further Mathematics SL (grade 12)
Biology HL (certificate)
Chemistry HL
Physics HL
English HL
History HL

Leaving the latter four for the diploma. Now THAT is the most rigorous course of study available.

4 higher levels is the hardest curriculum one can take at my school…the adminstration actually tries to discourage people from taking it… I only know of myself and like 3 others that are gone risk it.

My school offers IB exclusively and the person who was rated having the most demanding curriculum took 4 HL and did 7 subjects.
