IC and IIC = 1 subject test?

I have only taken Writing, Ic and IIC. Can I apply to Princeton with those 3 scores? I miss the next SAT administration (in Jan) so I can’t take any other subject test so I’m freaking out. I don’t really know IC and IIC count as 1 or 2 subject tests. Does anybody know? Thanks for any input.

They are counted as one subject test but you can give another SAT 2 test in January as standby.

There’s also still late registration.

And if you miss late, there’s always standby. It usually works.

THanks!! I’m int’l and the late registration is only for U.S. Sorry for another dumb questions: what’s standby?

Standby testing is basically when you show up and hope they have an extra test, haha. You can call your testing center ahead of time and let them know you’d like to test standby, and they can give you an estimate as to whether you’ll be able to take the test or not (most likely yes). You won’t be able to get your scores online in 2 weeks like everyone else, but it gets the job done :)

I don’t mind missing the early score report. I’m just afraid the test center in my city doesn’t have that kinda standby. As far as I know, the number of test books they receive is exactly the number of test-takers who registered so… my only hope is that someone did register but doesn’t show up on the test date (which is extremely unlikely). Anyway, I’ll call the center and ask them for more infor tomorrow. Thanks, philntex!

Usually the number of test books sent, for international centers too, are greater than the number of registered students. Centers also have some reserve space for standby testers. So most probably you will find space. Just make sure you reach the center early and have your name registered as standby tester as early as possible.

I took a test as a standby and had the scores exactly after two weeks by the way.
I called, however, so that to tell them to add the score to my online account

Thanks, alixpaul. Yeah, I called the test center. they told me to call again 10 days before the test and they’ll confirm if they have extra material for me. I hope everything’ll work out fine.

Hey randomgr, so you took a standby test, then you called collegeboard, told them your online account and you knew your score after 2 weeks just like everyone else?

My friend who took the SAT standby just signed into his account and his scores were listed like everyone else’s.

just.a.thought, unlike schwaby says, mine weren’t immediately listed so I called them. They gave me a phone number to call in a week but I called immediately and had everything sorted out
