IC on transcript?

I applied for UCLA, but found out that this semester I will be getting an IC for one of my classes, and it just so happens to be one of my major courses. Will this heavily impact their decision? Will i stand no chance anymore and not be admitted solely on this? or would i still have a shot?

my major is competitive but not heavily impacted like others. im also in the scholars program…

so will this impact my chances gravely?

It’s hard to say. I wouldn’t say it’s a good thing. What’s your major and GPA going to be after this fall semester? How are your E.C.'s?

More information is needed to ascertain whether your chances have diminished.

btw why are you getting an Incomplete?

If you are a borderline candidate, I’d say an IC in a major course will hurt bad. I hope for your sake that you have a very good reason for the IC.
