Was wondering if anyone has heard of the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy. http://www.culturaldiplomacy.org/index.php?en?</a> Im not sure if it is credible or not…

Since 1999…

I would be extremely skeptical. I decided to google about it. while playing one of the talks they have posted on the website, from a conference:

“The Parallax Effect on Long Hair”
A Lecture by Ian Gillian (Singer & Song writer of Deep Purple, ICD Advisory Board Member)

There seems to be almost nothing about them on the web. The main hits are about complaints on their spam. They appear to organize conferences and then randomly invite speakers who may or may not have a relation to the subject at hand. There is a blog post that notes this by a Wikipedia editor who discusses their campaign to get a Wikipedia page.

More to the point, they don’t seem to be accredited by any degree sanctioning agency. So you will rely on the affiliate institute for that. For the online MA that is a distance learning institution in Italy, and I can’t determine if any body accredits them.

The in person program may be better since the MA in IR with Cultural Diplomacy is joint program with a large public university in Romania. It is unclear who issues this degree, though.

Are you thinking of this to work here is the US? Do you have experience in this field or will you be depending on their internship program? Apparently there was a comment website on the program but it was threatened with legal action and taken down. Here is one review:

Thank you! I am skeptical myself.

I really want to live in Europe so I thought going to school would be a good way to go about it. But at the same time, although this program is cheaper, Id rather invest it somewhere credible.

I did get into 2 grad schools in usa, just exploring options…

Thank you for your help.
