I didn’t get an interview either - they sent me the sheet about interviews after the deadline and I didn’t even bother trying.

I had gotten the sheet after the deadlines too. So I didn’t know what to do. I guess interviews are not as important as I assumed they would be.

When I called the admissions office (because my Rice interview access information came after the deadline to schedule for an interview), I was told that half of the admitted students got in without an interview.

MeltedCrayolas,

I would argue that this forum fosters a distortion with regards to statistics. Most individuals who post their stats are over-achievers, and there are a lot of others who are simply afraid to reveal their information because of feelings of inferiority. There were a lot of scholarship recipients this time around, but I would hardly conclude that there is a proportional ratio between scholarship recipients and non recipients on this board and scholarship recipients and non recipients in the context of the entire ID admit pool.
