Sorry for the late response on this. It apparently got missedamongst all the other messages we got around the same time with"UCSD email" as the subject. Most new students do get their e-mail accounts setup automaticallyfor them but for some unknown reason yours wasn’t in any of thebatches we setup recently. You are definitely in our databasethough so please try self-registering for an account at http://sdacs.ucsd.edu/~icc/acsreg.php Our records do not show a middle initial for you so be sure toleave the middle initial blank so it matches your name in ourstudent tables. It should then assign a unique username foryour account and UCSD e-mail address and let you know when theywill be ready for use. Please let us know if you have any further problems setting upyour account. And again, sorry for the delay. --Lucy Devan

***ro man, this is really bad bureaucracy

next time quotes would help me in determining that you are not the one saying this (or an explination at the top saying something along the lines of “i just got this email”)

did they really leave words together like that? ■■■■, how stupid!
and3. hopefully it works!

yea it was an email from the administration, anyways the bad organization and work ethics is just horrendous and i’d like to see some things drastically change because a university like ucsd is suppose to be a reputable institution that has a set structure, etc.

yeah i agree remember on saturday when they released decisions…ridiculous i had no problems with ucla, cal, davis and other top schools even riverside was pretty good

kay so when i re-read my previous post it seems kinda harsh. i promise i was just saying that, not being mean or anything. but yeah. that really is horrible. they’re basically saying “you’re subject line was similar to others we got so we assumed we already read it” followed by, “since we messed up, you have to go and do it yourself”

yeah, it’s really informal. seems sketchy. maybe you’re getting punk’d!

Ha ha, I haven’t looked at this thread until today, reading the title I was thinking it had something to do with that tv show, The Apprentice. I think you need to work on your subject line =p.

But seriously, I had this same kind of problem with another college I applied to. I sent them an email with my question and the response I got back was exactly what their website said and it didn’t answer my question whatsoever. They obviously didn’t read it, and didn’t care. It really turned me off to USC. I wish I still had it so you could see what a crappy school it is.

lol, they try so hard to get you to go to the school and once you’re in, they treat u like a number,

they treat YOU like a number. =]

so far i have been treated like a human.

they sent a ton more literature than other schools, and that was even before SIR’s. i know that is somewhat unrelated. but if i cared, i wouldn’t have put it.

I’m not a number! I’m a real boy!

=o
