I’m going to be rising junior and this summer I really want to learn programming, specifically Java. Digital Media Academy has a perfect 2-week course at the perfect location for me - the only problem is that it seems more like a fun summer camp for elementary and middle school kids. Is this true? Is Digital Media Academy an organized and challenging academic experience for high school students?
I suppose it depends on how much programming experience you have in other languages. My son attended iD tech’s C/C++ camp while he was in middle school and found it too basic and the counselors not very advanced. But, at that point he already knew Python and Java and had tried a few things in C. My recollection is that most of the kids there were probably 7th to 9th grade or so, but that may vary by location.
4th grade to 6th grade level.
