ideas for activities while visiting

im visiting yale on thursday. any ideas for stuff to do besides the tour and admissions info session?

Go to the Peabody Museum of Natural History, or the Yale Center of British Art, or the Yale University Art Gallery. Have a meal at Atticus Bookstore Cafe. Most important, attend a performance of an improv or acapella group if at all possible (ask students, like your tour guide)- I would think Thursday eve. there will be a least one performing in one of the dining halls.
Sit in a class (ask at admissions), walk everywhere, and talk to as many students and profs as you can comfortably manage. Enjoy.

that’s all i can find in my e-mail right now, but of course there’s always SAE late night at 12:30 if u want to try out the party scene (the weekend really begins on thursday evenings…)

PM me if u need more help picking out classes to visit or anything!

There probably won’t be much in the way of improv or a capella this weekend, as tap night for a capella was monday and improv was last week (?) so all the groups are just starting rehearsal. If you’re interested in seeing theater rehearsals, feel free to message me and you’re welcome to tag along.

walk around old campus and find a party to go to

This website has some of things of interest for you on thursday (or any day), but doesn’t include the probably more intersting student run stuff/college activities.

http://events.yale.edu/opa/events?action=FromTo&fromDate=22092005&toDate=23092005&selectedDay=22&org=DEFAULT

The cherry orchard is playing at the university theater (not the Yale Rep) if you’re into theatre

i’d advise against the dwight neighborhood.
