My daughter applied to several schools which using IDOC service. And I am not sure about this - when College Board asks to send tax forms does it mean I have to send them tax transcripts from IRS or I can simply print my return at home using tax return software? IRS doesn’t have any transcripts available yet for 2012 even though tax return was accepted.

Call the College Board and ask them specifically what it is they need. I called them this morning and they were very helpful! This number goes straight to the IDOC dept. 305-420-3688. Good luck!

I’m still waiting to hear if I got into Colorado College EDII (they announce results Feb 10) Does getting a College Board IDOC email saying that Colorado College wants financial aid info from me/my parents mean anything (why request the info if I didn’t get in?)? CC was the only college requesting the info.

No Mark, I think they request it from everyone. Then they have it in hand to give financials with admission offers. I wish it meant something since we got IDOC email from D’s #1!

You send the forms you save by yourself when you file return, not transcripts from IRS (and they probably cannot provide). 1040, schedule A, C, W2, 1099 are usually required.
Make sure you sign the forms.

Thank you all for answers. I asked my question before I submitted CSS/Profile. The IDOC instructions I get after submit are straight forward - no need to wait for transcripts.
