Can folks post their experience with how long it takes from when the USPS tracking says the IDOC package was delivered until the IDOC folks acknowledge it as received and update the student’s status?

It varies from school to school. Don’t worry about the date if you submit it was delivered before the deadline. It does not matter that much even if it arrived late.

I’m not talking about the school acknowledging the IDOC submission but IDOC updating the student’s status. Surely that doesn’t vary by school?

It’s for a returning student and the deadline is in May sometime, so I’m not worried about meeting deadlines so much as wondering when we might get a package from the school. Our circumstances are changed (2 in school versus 1 in prior years) and the NPC doesn’t really work for self-employed, so I’m anxious to get his package and figure out what they are going to expect us to pay next year… so just me being impatient.

The Collage Board web site indicates that it takes 5 days to process your packet once it has been received. I found that the date they indicate it had been received did not match the date that USPS said it had been delivered however.

My experience has been that the speed at which you get things submitted has nothing to do with the speed at which you will get you the package from the school. I am sure it varies from school to school, but for both my kids their packages did not arrive until June once they were beyond their first year.
