<p>When my son saved out a copy of his tax return before e-filing, it ended up having superimposed over it “Copy Only Do Not File”. Is it ok to send a copy like this in his IDOC packet or do we need to print out a “for filing” copy?</p>
<p>It should be fine - it’s what most software programs produce after you e-file. If you use a paid preparer, you’re likely to get a copy with that as a water mark, or they may stamp your copy, to make it clear it’s a copy.</p>
