Anyone know what kind of information would be required at sacred heart for the IDOC verification letter? If filing now this wont be needed until maybe February after taxes are filed for 2015, is that correct? Never done this before, just trying to get the big picture of what will be needed. Does the CSS looking mainly for income verification? Thanks
The school will send you their IDOC letter stating exactly what you need to submit. Don’t try to second guess or submit early because if you miss something, your child could end up without aid due to an incomplete application.
Does your child have an acceptance there? I think it’s my son’s first choice (I think) and we don’t expect to hear until January.
My son applied early action and the deadline to submit CSS is Dec 15 so I need to get that done. Has not gotten an acceptance yet. Was just wondering what to have on hand if the time comes for the verification letter - Bank statements, w2, tax returns, receipts of any kind?
I didn’t even think of those details. Ugh. I’m not confident that we will be able to afford Sacred Heart, but who knows. I have misgivings about the housing situation, but we’ll see. Good luck to you and your son!
Its an expensive school thats for sure. Son would be commuting, and even then still pricey. Did you already file the CSS profile then or are you waiting to see if he’s accepted? Good luck to you as well! 
We already did the Profile, and he interviewed and auditioned and received the band scholarship.
So maybe we could set up a cot in your basement and I could pay you room and board!
