IDOC Verification Worksheet...does parents marital status refer to biological or custodial?

On the IDOC Verification Worksheet for Dependent Students, does parents’ marital status refer to your custodial parent’s marital status or you biological parents status relative to each other??

I’m curious, because my biological parents were never married, but my custodial parent (mother) is remarried.

The worksheet is for the parent used on FAFSA/Profile. If you used your mother, then her status is married.
