I’m applying for financial aid for one of my colleges and it says to submit a non-filer statement because I didn’t file a tax return. It specifically says that this form should be found through the IDOC. I already submitted my FAFSA and CSS. However, when I tried to log in to the IDOC it gave me this error message: Error: The SSN or SIN and the Date of Birth you provided do not match anyone in our database for the IDOC Cycle selected. Please try again. I also tried using my CBFinAid ID and that didn’t work either. Why didn’t the College Board notify me that at least one of my colleges participates in the IDOC Service?
Did you check the college to find out whether they participate in the IDOC services? it was quite clear for the several colleges we applied to.
I thought when you log into IDOC, you need both your CBFinAid ID and the Social security number.
Have you called IDOC to check?
This was from the college’s website under tax non-filer statements: Tax non-filer Statements are available through the IDOC Dashboard and must be included with your IDOC submission. Noncustodial parents may contact our office via phone or email if they need a Tax Non-filing statement.
To log in to IDOC, you need 2 of 3 things, CBFinAid ID, SSN, and date of birth.
I emailed College Board regarding the issue but didn’t hear back. I’m planning to call tomorrow, but thought I’d check here to see if anyone had a solution.
Try a different browser…sometimes that works.
Nope… just tried it on Chrome, Explorer, and Safari.
@EchoTheCat I am getting the same message. How did you resolve it?
@baxter I sent in an email contact form yesterday regarding this issue and haven’t heard back from IDOC. Also on the phone with them right now, been waiting 31 minutes. Will let you know if I get in contact with them.
IDOC periodically is taken offline when they are doing updates. I find that if you wait a few hours it should resolve itse.f
