If Deadline is 1st can it be submitted midnight?

<p>The Stanford deadline for submission is Jan 1st.
Does that mean that it must be submitted before Jan 1st or that it can be submitted on that date?</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure that means 11:59 59 on Jan 1st. That’s how it is for the schools i’m doing</p>
