Okay so I’m actually applying to TASS but it pertains to both either way.

It sounds like you don’t know if you’re accepted until May. If I don’t get into TASS I want to go to CTY or Columbia but I would have to put down a deposit in February or March. How could I make this work so I could have a safe back-up but not waste a huge amount of money if I did get in?

I don’t there is any way… it’s the same for me… I want to go to TASP over Gov school but I have to send in my intent form for Gov school by the end of April and TASP results come in May…

I don’t have any backups beyond TASP. So what I’m going to do is: work my butt off on my application and pray I make it to the second round. If by chance I do, then I’ll prepare like crazy for the interview and pray to God that I make it in. If I don’t make it to the interview stage I’ll start looking at backups (while crying lol).

The application for the Carleton SWP I’m applying for isn’t due til like March, so I’m just going to get to that one and only send it in if I don’t make it to the interview stage. BUT I’m working my butt off also! XD!

Powerbomb, I was just on the website and you have to commit in early May, not April. TASP comes out early May too though. Hopefully there is a bit of gap (this is assuming you/I get to the interview stage of course). Otherwise I’ll prop. commit to governor’s school (assuming I’m accepted) and then try to withdraw somehow if I get into TASP.

I think you can get back some of your deposit if you decide not to attend CTY. Rack through the website or email a director, they’ll tell you if that’s possible.
