I wanna apply to St Pauls and I am afraid that my ssat score is going to be horrible. I am good at convincing that I am the perfect student for the school though, will that help me?

I’d advise taking a practice test (from one of the commonly available test prep books) under test day conditions (time-wise) ASAP just to see what range you might fall into. If, for example, you are a 60%-ile scorer, at least you’ll know for certain (as opposed to just being “afraid”) that your scores are below the average for SPS. So that means the rest of your application has to overcome this disadvantage. This could mean having some “hook” or other skill/quality the school really wants/needs in a particular year. For example, I know SPS has a ballet corps. So if they had a great senior soloist who graduated…and you just happen to be amazing at ballet and could step into her toe shoes, then your chances might be better than your scores would lead you to believe.

Note that this applies to every school, not just SPS. If your scores are lower than the school’s average, assuming everything else about your app is in line with your scores…then you most likely have a lower than average chance of being admitted (vs. a similar candidate with scores that are above the school’s average).

So, exactly why are u perfect fit for SPS?
