<p>Look in the application information for details. Nearly all private school send out acceptances on the same day, and nearly all require a response on another date (about a month later, as I recall).</p>
<p>The schools all (almost, but certainly both Exeter and Andover) have a March 10 date that they notify YOU of acceptance. Then, you have until April 10 to let THEM know.<br>
In the meantime, there are re-visit days that you should absolutely go to if accepted to both as they can change your mind or confirm your decision.
