If I got a B+, is there any chance to get into Andover?

I am in 9th grade and I am applying for Andover but then I did really bad on the fall finals so I have a B+ in science and spanish.

I also don’t have any outstanding extra-curricular activities. Or anything especially good about myself.

Applying for 10th grade…
4 years trombone (yet only second chair in the worst band at our school)
marching band
won first place on this countywide competition for history (but like 15 people win first place)
fourth for math (same thing)
fourth for essay
third for science
my mom taught at Andover (idk if that helps, it was 1 year before we moved)
5 years tennis
captain of heritage park team (the third best one)
I have designed some works for some minor clients and made small amounts of money…

I read the ECs discussion and there’s nothing there that I would ever be able to do.

my mom told me I have no chance at all and she’s probably right…
…because she knows everything

should I just stop thinking about this all day because I have no chance (unless I miraculously do super well on the SSAT?)

Joke thread/■■■■■…

and on the off chance that you aren’t, a B+ will not kill you.

um… what’s a ■■■■■?

doesn’t really seem like a ■■■■■, although there is a separate forum for prep school admissions. maybe you should redirect your question there.

oh I see…
how do I move this to the prep school admissions?

meh, I just assume that everyone that says “OMG I GOT A B+” is a ■■■■■.

and only mods can move threads

pyroza, there are people that freak out over B+s

it’s very very sad, but there are real people like that =/
