If I plan to apply to Haas in the future, should I still mark my backup major when applying?

So I’m currently in the middle of applying to UCB and I’m wondering if I should mark my back up major as my major on the app? Or should I just stick with marking “intending letters & science”?

I know I really want to get into Haas later on when I apply (if I were to be accepted), but should I mark my backup major as my major right now as something to fall back on in the future? I’m just afraid I’ll be rejected from Haas and I want something to fall back on just in case.

Let me know if this is a good/bad idea. Thanks!

It doesn’t matter if you apply to majors within the College of L&S.
You basically need to declare the major again when you complete the prerequisites.
