If I transfer next year......

For the longest time I thought i wanted to become a surgeon. However, my interest has changed since Feb 13, when the ED decision came out. Now I’m thinking about going in the business route (IB, management consulting…etc) and work in NYC. Unfortunately, Emory University’s B school (where I’m going this fall) isn’t the best place to be for an aspiring business major to work in the North east. So I’m thinking about transfering. For Economics majors(or BBA degree, but I don’t really get in B school till my junior year), is it hard to transfer to Ivies,UVA,Georgetown?

Yeah…what are your grades? Do you have minority status?

I’m going to be a freshman this fall, so I don’t have anything. I’m asian, so not really minority.

if u are applying as a transfer for sophomore entry then your high school stats are still important.

31 ACT SAT II Chinese 800; SAT II bio E 650; UW GPA 3.93 top 10%; W GPA 4.2 top 2%

All state orchestra, concert master, hospital volunteer…etc

your scores are good(especially if english is your second language). you really never know until decisions come out so you just have to apply. If you don’t get in next fall try again for junior transfer.
