How will AP Art History help me in the long run? I know that knowing about art is great, but isn’t it a lot of memorization (even though I suppose you could argue that you would love your brain to be filled with such great artwork). I’m really hoping to do something in science, so will Art History seem a little off topic?

You should take AP Art History because you want to learn about art history. If you do not in fact want to learn about art history, you shouldn’t take it.

Well then why take an english class?

elective credit in college!

To fulfill performing arts credit or to bore yourself out of your mind.

Here, everyone who takes Art Hist is passionate about it. We all talk about it in our personality speeches in Public Speaking class. No other classes are ever mentioned. If you don’t love Art Hist, it’s not worth taking.
It was really worthwhile in the long run for me. My Art History teacher wrote amazing recs for me. I’ve talked about Art History in 3 of my college interviews and one of my essays was about it. In another essay, I brought up being filled with prana, which I never would have heard of if I hadn’t taken Art Hist.
