If Joshua Bell plays for free in a metro station, would you stop and listen?

“Joshua Bell is one of the world’s greatest violinists. His instrument of choice is a multimillion-dollar Stradivarius. If he played it for spare change, incognito, outside a bustling Metro stop in Washington, would anyone notice?”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html</a></p>

I can’t believe so many people just walked on…predictable, yet at the same time, disheartening and disappointing…

I read about that…very odd.

Some people aren’t music fanatics. I wouldn’t stop either.

I read the article. I love Weingarten. He makes me laugh every Sunday morning. The article was as expected, no one stops to listen. I wish I didn’t have school and knew about it so I could have gone down and watched (though that would have defeated the whole purpose of the article).

I would stop and listen. I’m a bit biased though. I’m string player (violin and viola), so I do enjoy listening to people that are better than me. :)
