I would be happy to have no debt at all…someone else to bother with paying those pesky bills . No money worries ever, and set up my family members with that same luxury…that would be better than any stuff I could possibly buy

An area church that has switched to a “contemporary” worship has replaced their pews with “stadium seating” - the big padded chairs like are at a movie theater, complete with cup holders!

I would treat my husband to dinner at all the famous New Orleans restaurants. Now that we’re empty nesters, he’s dying to eat at them, but I could not enjoy a meal that costs that much, no matter how delicious!

If money was no object, I would buy the Central Park West apartment that Alec Baldwin is selling!

FallGirl - yes, me too, the apartment.
And, a trip around the world by first class flight and stay at 5 star hotel.
Give at least 50% of my money to charity, a charity works really hard to help people.
Quite simple, isn’t it?

Beach house on the Central CA coast (near where I currently live) with just me, DH, my dog and cat. I have friends with large homes and “servants”. They hate that they never have their privacy. Since I won’t be working I don’t mind washing my own sheets every day. Of course, I would hang them outside to dry.

Hey Slitheytove!

I’ve been to that Jelly Belly factory…yum!

If money were no object, I’d think big…homes in Hawaii (oceanfront of course), Tuscany and maybe NYC…private jet to get me there or at the very least, first class on a commercial jet…

-a personal chef
-a personal trainer
-a personal gardener
-a personal shopper
-a personal bill payer, someone to do the dishes & laundry!
-box suite tickets to any sports game, shows or events
-yes, enough money to help my sisters & their families
-luxury sheets, towels, towel warmer in bathroom, radiant heat flooring

I guess this is a good start! :)

This is the first thing my brother bought when he sold his company and came into some serious money.

As for me…I’d like a nice rose-covered gray shingled house on Nantucket.

For my kids…the chance to go to any grad school they want and not have to worry about loans or if it’ll lead to decent paying jobs

For my parents…enough home health care to keep them out of a nursing home.

Excellent idea … is it OK if I borrow it!

Okay, now I’ve read the thread. I see I’m not the only one who hates flying coach!

I would get a personal shopper/dresser. Not sure I’m explaining it well – someone to either go with me or, better yet, bring clothes to my house that will make me look fabulous. I’d like to redo my family room cabinet in such a way that we could get one of the modern kinds of televisions. Also, maybe a personal chef who would make me tasty low-calorie meals so I could enjoy eating and watch the weight melt off. Or can I just somehow pay for a better body in this fantasy?

Oh, when I first saw the question, I thought, my goodness, I have what I need - I don’t need to splurge on any treats… But then I read the other posts and could not resist making a wish list. I borrowed the first ones from TutuTaxi’s great list
And I want Michelle Obama arms
and the 3-bedroom, bookshelved, river view apartment in NYC - with a concierge who is great at making my restaurant reservations and getting me great theater tickets.

Whatever DW wants. I’m happy with what I’ve got.

“And I want Michelle Obama arms”

LOL, that is a good one. I want them, too. Unfortunately, only sweat and hard work will buy you “Michelle arms”. Thanks for the reminder! Gotta do my weights.

BTDT, many times. DH buys cases of Belly Flops to keep the folks in his office happy. We have not gone to the beer factory tour next door, however.

That definitely would solve the question of “Do I get out of this warm bed at 9 am to go to shul…”

I don’t need to be skinny. Healthy and fit would be just fine.
A small house in the woods, but near the ocean. Must have a big front porch, enormous country kitchen and a studio for all my sewing/fabric art. A well-stocked used bookstore should be close by.

^^ I want NewHope33!!

I would zap every ugly, disgusting spider/varicose vein on my legs

I would move nearer the coast (and nearer my son - not on his doorstep - just closer than the current 22 hour drive away). Don’t need a big fancy house - a nice smallish house would be just fine.

Then I would travel much more and see all the countries I have wanted to see but have not had a chance to see. And for those long flights I would fly 1st class. Or business, business class would probably be fine. Just for more room and being able to lie down and sleep.

Beach house.

I would splurge on not working anymore, and then on a new computer. I got mine cheap almost four years ago, and it can no longer run the newest games. :(

Hmmm . . . I’m always bad at this game, my mind draws a blank.

But I’d really love one of those rock pools that they have in Australia – swimming pools built into a rocky coast with grills underwater to let the sea water wash through. Sublime. I suppose having this would mean having oceanfront property . . .
