Right now, any place that’s WARM sounds good to me!

My co-worker is spending 3 weeks in Switzerland right now, skiing in several places.

On my bucket list is a World Cruise:
With Cunard, Princess or Holland America. These cruises average about 112 days and passengers can take tours off the beaten path and then rejoin the ship later. One tour high on my list is an African safari.

I have been to lots of places, but I am excited that I just booked a river cruise and Paris vacation for early September. First time I didn’t have to set a vacation for the summer, since I am retiring in June.

Tour of major sights in S Africa plus a safari portion

New Zealand, both islands

Greece and Turkey

Alaska, small ship cruise
PS Just saw “Walter Mitty” and Iceland looked amazing!

The only thing I’ve done on that list is Venice. It really is pretty special. We had a fabulous trip last December to Jordan (Petra and Wadi Rum alone are worth the trip).

Things I’d still like to do. China - especially landscapes like the Li River.

I’m still cross I missed going to Barcelona with dh. It was fall senior year for my youngest and I just didn’t see leaving him for a week.

I’d like to go to Yellowstone and back to Bryce.

I’ve been blessed to have traveled extensively (45ish countries)…

Would love to go to the Seychelles!

Of those, bora bora!

(I found the Great Wall just ok :x)

"Would love to go to the Seychelles!

Of those, bora bora!"

The Seychelles are off of the African coast in the Indian Ocean. Bora bora is part of Society Islands in the Pacific.

I would just love to do a trip without any time constraints, no rushing to see everything, no fixed date of return.

Sail the Mediterranean and stop at all the ports.
Morrocco.

DocT - LOL I know! I meant of those on her list, I’d go to bora bora … Two separate statements, sorry.

All of Europe.

Too broad?

Also, Chichen Itza and the pyramids of Mexico. My parents went for their honeymoon last year and loved it.

"New Zealand’s north island is cool. It’s where the filmed lord of. The rings and the area around Rotorua is their equivalent of Yellowstone w geysers and mud pots. "

I liked the south island better - particularly going through the Southern alps, Milford sound, the glaciers and Queenstown (if you go there, you have to have a fergburger)

Cruise on the Paul Gaugan around the south pacific islands…Bali, Tahiti, etc.

Another vote for Bora Bora (and one of those huts over the water).

I’ve been to the Great Barrier Reef and LOVED it. We aren’t divers, so just snorkeled. It was like looking at a mountain range under water.

We’ve checked off two from our bucket list:
Week-long raft trip down the Grand Canyon with a geology prof. Life-changing experience. You are totally apart from what the river guides call “the rim world”. We are so tiny compared to nature.
Iceland: we didn’t go for the Northern Lights. (Have seen them in Canada many times) Went in summer to see the geology. Hoping for a small earthquake or eruption, but no go. Still a wonderful trip and I’d love to go back. If you live in the NE, this is a quick and cheap trip to Europe. I would advise a group or guide if you want to venture far. Very limited roads.

“I’ve been to the Great Barrier Reef and LOVED it. We aren’t divers, so just snorkeled. It was like looking at a mountain range under water.”

Where abouts did you leave to go to the reef. We left from Port Douglas.

Australia and the Great Barrier Reef are on my list. And, an African safari…not sure about the gorilla thing, though. (Guess I never really thought about gorillas.)

The Apes in the Mist in Rwanda are awesome! So are the animals in the Akagara Game Park. Loved Capetown SA as well, and the Stellenbosch wine area. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

But that trip to Bali, Tahiti, and I think Bora Bora is on the itinerary,on the Paul Gaugan is my dream. It is a very small and personal cruise boat.
