I know Stanford strongly discourages students to send resumes for consideration.

I also know that Common App website has some space to include some of those activities.

All these years I have worked so hard in my endeavours…so called ECAs…and i am finding it difficult to priortize between each of the work I did. Every campaign or activity I pursued was something of my interest and it means a lot to me. i want that to come across. yes! this is where the matter of space kicks in.

Even though Stanford hates resumes, i have filled in all areas of the comon appp space for ECAs in website and have uploaded ny resume in additional information section.

Do you think they will look at it…And would that bring about a good/bad gesture?

SUPPLEMENTARY CREDENTIALS
Please do not send any additional materials which are not specifi cally
requested in the application. This includes school or work resumes,
research papers, and writing samples, as they will not be considered.

They get a loooaaadddd of apps, and I doubt that they see more sheets on their apps as a nice gesture.

There’s the space where you can elaborate on one of your EC’s, I would write about the most-unassuming activity, as long as it was important to you.

I think it’s ok to add a one page long additional info sheet on the common application as that isn’t “sending an extra supplemental”, since it is part of the common app. My two cents: Don’t send them a 3 page long resume; instead, create an activities list no longer than 1 page

our school requires a 1 page resume to be sent to all colleges anyway so i didnt have a choice in the matter
if i didnt include it, the counselors add it in anyway
im assuming they will just throw it away if they dont want it
