What do you think will happen?

I don’t think the “hanging chad” debacle will compare to the riots that will follow Obama’s loss!

What do you think will happen?

I don’t think the “hanging chad” debacle will compare to the riots that will follow Obama’s loss!

If Obama loses, McCain is president. He will applaud Obama for his effort, as will most of America. We will move on. I doubt there will be riots.

No riots, only the realization that ALL Americans may become President. This would be a good thing. :)

The whiney Democrats will come out in full-force. I’m sure Obama will be professional about it…not his supporters. If McCain loses he and his supporters will just admit the loss and move on. No Democrat will lose again without someone whining that they were screwed.

. . . I will give up on the American electorate and move to Denmark. :-)

I stand ready to provide a full $0.10 to any liberal of note that wants to leave the U.S. if a Republican gets elected President. I support your right to protest by leaving the United States.

To collect on my offer your MUST renounce your United States citizenship forever. That’ll show those nasty conservatives!

Apply today! :D

I think America’s image would be further tarnished around the world.

when obama loses his groupies will protest the results, because we all know there’s no way that america would ever elect a republican…

I would be happy to contribute to a fund to help move folks like gbesq out. Please drop your U.S. Passport and citizenship in the recycling bin when you do. It’s really a shame Alec Baldwin et al didn’t keep their hollow promises about leaving the country when Bush was elected. Once elected he is YOUR President…suck it up and deal with it. I’m stuck with Obama if elected and he will get my support… I didn’t like Clinton but supported him none-the-less. It would be nice if all you whiners would try being team players rather than tantrum throwing children.

hear hear, pmrlcomm!

^ What a shame that some of you evidently lack a sense of humor (note the smiley face after my post). I believe in our system of government, always exercise my privilege to vote, and hope that others will do the same. To be candid, however, I find the fact that a sufficient number of Americans – many of them well meaning – chose to elect Bush twice (well, maybe once, if you factor in the assistance he received from the Supreme Court on the second try) to be profoundly depressing.

I will have to walk past McCain’s picture in my office bldg for the next 4 years, along with the Secretary of Defense and a couple of other people’s pix. (I work for the Dept of Defense)

Perhaps Dems have a good reason for questioning any election they lose… and many soldiers have died for my right to complain and work to make what I feel are changes that need to be made…

And if I can’t make them, at least I have the freedom to have tried.

Well, I don’t think anyone could make the argument that Clinton was a worse president than Bush. As a Democrat, I’d throw my support behind many Republicans if they were to become president (including McCain). However, Bush has made so many grave mistakes during his presidency that it’s going to take us decades to recover as a nation. I don’t blame the people who threatened to emigrate if Bush were (re)elected. It’s extremely frustrating to know that a majority of Americans were so stupid as to be deceived into voting for Bush after he had already thrown our nation into chaos.

If Obama loses we will be occupying Iraq for 1oo years; we will lose social security; the rich will get richer, America will lose further respect around the world, and many of us will lose hope.

If everyone always took this stance, the Civil War would never have been fought and we’d still be functioning under Slave Labor…minus about half our country. Blind acceptance is not the answer.

So you think the states which support Obama should secede if he loses??

^Yes. That’s precisely what I meant. =/

I thought the thread was amusing. ;)

^^ yea interesting thread…
