If the demand for a job grows, will the school provide a larger acceptance rate?

<p>Sorry if my title is a bit confusing. My question is that if a particular career field (biomedical engineer in my case) is in huge demand, will schools such as UCI which also accepts biomedical engineer majors increase their acceptance rate for biomedical engineer majors?</p>

<p>I'd actually be very interested in a reply from this. It sounds plausible, but I'm slightly skeptical.</p>

<p>If they get funding to increase the size of the program, have the faculty, have the space...then it goes to the Board of Regents for consideration.</p>
