The thread title basically asks my question. I am really nervous about attending UChicago if I get in. I am very scared about the academic rigor, but then again, UChicago wouldn’t accept me if I was going to fail there. I really don’t consider myself bright, I just know stuff I guess haha… High school makes me feel like it’s not the right preparation for college, it has been bugging me lately. I just want some opinions or reassurance, anything really that can shed light onto my fears.

To answer your question, yes.

Are they going to accept someone that is capable? yes. Are they going to accept someone that is willing? That’s up to you.

Of course. Colleges aren’t in the business of accepting people they assume will fail; it’s stupid, for one thing, and it screws with their retention rates. They know you are capable of stepping up to the rigor of UChicago courses.

They believe their professors will enjoy instructing you.

I agree with Polyosophy’s sentiments.
They will accept you because they believe you can succeed. *Will *you succeed? That’s entirely in your hands.

^ profound and true.
