If I academically renewed a a 5 unit non-transferable algebra course and a 4 unit transferable Biology course, do I have to list it in my TAG application or general admission application?

I got a D in the math course and an F in Biology but I took them both over again and got A’s.

yes u list them on ur application. but ucla will ALWAYS take your higher grade and they will disregard ur D and F however they need still need to see it on ur app.

Always list everything you’ve ever taken anywhere. Period.

yes when you put the grade of the class if I remember there was a choice for AR or academic renewal

You list the grade that you received unless academic renewal has completely removed the grade from showing up on your transcript, in that case you list AR.

I had received a ‘D’ in one of my major-prereq classes. The next semester I had retaken the class, but I didn’t bother filling out the academic renewal forms. The UC calculated GPA that shows up on my application status indicates that they completely ignored the ‘D’ grade.

Yeah but this person is asking about one class that isn’t UC transferrable. I didn’t list a math class that I failed then retook for an A because it wasn’t UC transferrable and that is all they wanted on the application. Am I mistaken? It’s a bummer cause the transcript is still going to be sent to UCSB but I hope they don’t rescind me for that.

You list all classes. When you are filling out the application with your grades, you are given two options. Transferable classes are selected from a menu system that goes along the lines of Semester->Subject->Number, then you fill out the grade that you received. Your non-transferable classes are filled out by selecting the semester and scrolling to the bottom of the page where you add classes which were not listed. There you fill out the class subject, number, units, and grade in a text box.

These classes are not calculated at all in your final GPA, but you still need to include them. If you didn’t, call them. It might not impact you, but don’t take the chance.
