If you are of the sandwich generation which ingredient of the sandwich are you?

I think I am the cheese (melted and smooth) but in reality I am probably the pickle.

Maybe you are the toothpick that holds it all together.

I am the big cheese so I need a lot of lettuce to deal with all the pickles.

I am the bread crust who seldom finds way in the sandwhich and if he does he is tossed aside :(

My sandwich is chicken salad. Sometimes I’m the mayo that binds it all together, sometimes the pickle, and sometimes I’m the red pepper spicing things up. :)

I am the soft cream cheese filling of the sandwich of our lives.

The soft place to land, the ingredient that holds everything together, flexible, a little bland, works well with others.

Sometimes, however, I am the Nutella.

I think I’m the Prosciutto. Well at least my thighs are. I wish I was the lean turkey.

^^Nah, lean turkey is bland and tasteless! Much better to be tasty!

I’m the peanut butter, the glue of this sandwich. A bit nutty but I can be smoothed out. Lost my jelly, the sweetness of the combo but managing to hold it all together without.

I am the alfalfa sprouts. A bit unruly, but always worth inviting to the party!

I seem to be the slices of onion. Sure, add that onion, it would definitely add to the dining experience. In the beginning, that’s the case. And then, oops, changed my mind, lets’ take that onion off, or the onion taste comes back to haunt after the fact. (But that is what you said you wanted or needed from me!!!) Sigh. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t with my younger generation AND my older generation these days…

I’m the BBQ sauce. Usually totally unnecessary, but life is better with it.

In certain bad times, with crisis on both sides, I would be the mystery meat, ground up and unrecognizable, though luckily those times are few and far between.
