If you could be an Olymic athlete--what sport would you choose?

Hey I googled it

Tug of war used to be an event! How fun is THAT!

You’d be surprised what has been an event and is long lost…

;o) so we are not THAT old ;o)

First choice: Ping Pong. Second choice: Diving. Nothing in the winter. I hate the cold!

I used to be really good at ping pong, although not really, really good.

Winter: Curling
Summer: Synchronized Swimming

Biathalon in the winter.
Equestrian in the summer.

Is there a masters skeleton team anywhere near Seattle? I’ll join in a heartbeat!

Biathlon or ski cross (not to be confused with cross country skiing) would be my choices. Or hockey!

Equestrian, but my jumping days are long gone so I’d stick to dressage.

Downhill skiing, even though everybody knows that the curling dudes get all the hot women…they know how to find the button.

Figure skating, of course! I would also love sychronized swimming.

I wonder how one will qualify for eating championships that are almost always won by the skinniest Asian person. Actually, one can die from it, this one is probably the most dangerous of them all.

Figure skating, winter. Distance running, summer.

“Figure skating, of course! I would also love sychronized swimming.”

You must really like to smile.

Had to share: the story of the oldest athlete competing this year (he’s 51):

easy question … either

basketball … I’m too short, slow, and I suck … but other than that I’m in

track and field as a miler (actually 1500 meters) … I’m closer here but in my day I was probably about 1000 people away from going … which sounds pretty close but actually is not … if I ran a quarter mile at full speed it is not fast enough to keep pace with a world class mile race.

Winter: Ski-jumping

Summer: 100m Dash

I know what I wouldn’t do - moguls! My knees couldn’t take it!

Figure skating ! I love it…I grew up in an area that was very skating friendly and I used to love it

Summer: Sailing

Winter: Hot Chocolate Sipping

I’m a runner- so Marathon for summer. One of my running friends is a famous former Olympic marathoner from “back in the day”. I would have loved to be that good.

Winter- forget it. Too damn cold to do ANY of those things!

Summer - racewalking (it is an event) and in the Winter - speed skating - 5K.

Since we’re dreaming, and assuming there are no injury consequences, I’d choose skeleton and ski jumping.

Summer - they’d have to add waterskiing.
