Should you cross a line over it to avoid points deduction?

Probably. Be warned, though, that even though the graders aren’t technically allowed to grade things that are crossed out, if your FRQ’s are chock-full of stuff like that, it might put them in a worse mood while grading your test. And since they’re probably already not in the best mood because of having to grade hundreds of the same essays for hours on end, it might be better not to irritate them.

My English teacher went to an AP conference, and she said that a lot of the graders were annoyed by all the crossed out "THIS IS SPARTA!"s in the middle of essays, even though they weren’t technically allowed to take points off for it.

When I took the AP Euro exam last year, I BSed on an FRQ and drew two stick figures.

Considering my score I don’t think they mind too much but it’s always best to try your hardest! :)

^ lol. i’m sure my english teacher felt the same way
they’re not technically allowed to take off points for it, but some might (on the essays) subconsciously be annoyed at you and if you’re borderline… well… it could hurt you

Anyone going to write an actual poem for the AP Lit poetry essay question? I think I may do that, pending time, because this test doesn’t count for me, so yeah.

I wouldnt dare scribble things in the middle of my FR. I scribble on them when im done with the FRs. AP lit graders are so serious when grading essays. lol Good thing im not taking that. I hope the other AP exams wouldnt mind :)

I’ve actually heard that ppl. will deduct points for absolutely mindless repetition (if you said “This is Sparta Once” sure, but if you say it say 10 times? …)
