If you got max presidential merit out of state

What were your SATs and were your ECs insane or good but somewhat normal?

Presidential merit yes, but I am not sure whether it was the largest possible amount.

SAT in the low 1400’s (perhaps 1410 or 1420? It was a while ago). One take only (no super score).

ECs might be considered “pretty good but normal”. No major awards. References would have been quite good. Ended up being pre-vet and some high school ECs were relevant to this.

For us, the NPC for UVM did predict merit aid, and was spot on accurate.

Our daughter liked UVM quite a bit, and after graduating plus some relevant work experience did well with admissions to multiple very good DVM programs (obviously elsewhere, since UVM does not have a DVM program).

S24 received the max amount ($25k/year). SAT was 1330, but we elected to withhold that information after playing around with the NPC. ECs were strong, but not “insane”. GPA (4.0/4.5w) made a big difference for merit at UVM & other schools.
