If you had to go Vegan for one month, do you think you could do it?

Justinian, he’s just asking if you could do it, not that he wants to become one or that its morally wrong to eat meat products.

stop overanalyzing it.

I am curious to the highest possible degree. Why do y’all choose this lifestyle? Is it for health reasons, animal rights, humbug? To me, I choose to eat meat because it possesses all of the essential proteins and amino acids. Plus, steak is very good, especially with worcester sauce.

is Singer the lawer who teaches at Rutgers? If so I deffinetly heard him speak a few months ago. . .

You can absolutly get the protien you need from non animal sources–the key is to get the correct combination of protiens. Beans, corn and rice is the famous triad. brown rice, corn and beans will give you the correct combination of protiens. Also green veggies give you so much good stuff that you should be fine.

Justinian, what state are you from?

He teaches philosophy at Princeton

It’s about treating animals fairly and making sure they aren’t tortured during their short lifetimes, not giving them votes.

Shaddix, why do you ask?

For health reasons, I think going vegan vegetarian would be a really good idea. Although I doubt I could keep it up past a month as I really do like meat & fish.

Edit

Oh…just curious…you write yall and Git R Done a lot…

chicken and fish are both amazingly healthy dusk…

that doesnt make sense.

I’m vegetarian too- but I think becoming vegan would be hard… i could handle it for a month max… i need ice cream! and cheese! :-d

Vegan for a month, sounds pretty easy considering I’ve been vegan for the past 17.5 years (aka all) of my life. (Raised vegan)

Yeah, I’m also vegetarian. I tried going vegan, but it is WAY TOO HARD…I cannot live without milk and pizza and ice cream…But I guess if I really had the willpower, I could do it. I actually live quite close to health food stores like Whole Foods…now that I think about it, my parents shop there already! :)

You can do it. I’ve been doing it for some time now because I’m allergic to milk, chicken, and eggs. I eat a lot of bread though…

GIT R’ DONE is an awesome phrase, IMO. GIT R’ DONE, Y’all. Shaddix, in which state do you live?

I already told you…VA…you have such a bad memory :p.

bob-
Yes, I know chicken and fish are healthy but I personally tend to consume too much of it…I meant to say vegan.

NO SKIN DUSK!

haha.

I know I certainly don’t have the willpower for going vegan…

Chicken is another favorite of mine.

?

…

=p
