If you had to go Vegan for one month, do you think you could do it?

somebody’s trippin… you’d die

Do we have any proof that being a vegan lengthens ones life? Hmm, vegan life does not appeal to me.

For all you chicken fanciers, eat and enjoy as much of it as you can now. As soon as avian flu makes it’s way over here, you’ll be eating a lot less and paying a lot more for it.

I eat meat less than a couple of times a year (mostly when invited to someone’s home and I do not want to discomfort or inconvenience them). These days it is both easier than it ever was and harder than it ever was to be a vegetarian. There are many many tasty alternatives even in chain supermarkets, but the choices are far more diverse and available in urban areas with healthfood stores, markets and restaurants. It can be extremely difficult to be vegetarian at many colleges and universities, especially if their food service is provided by one of the giants like Aramark or Sodexo. They claim to offer vegetarian food, but it is so boring and tasteless (and lacking in nourishment) that it could easily turn someone off who has not sampled the really great choices available.

Here’s a good place to start for anyone considering vegetarianism.

um no thanks i like my steak?

I could never go vegan. I like my steaks way too much.

My friend watched that video “Meet your Meat” and became a hardcore, proselytizing vegetarian … for about a week. Another friend offered to share her delicious Chinese takeout, and the smell of Shanghai meatballs destroyed her willpower.

My religion?

^ You don’t need to make fun of other peoples religions. Let others believe what they want to believe.

^agreed. ^^It might not be intentional but you’re being a bit insensitive.

I actually hate it when sensitivity is factored in.

That just kills jokes for no reason. I laugh at stuff, regardless of insensitivity. I mean there are lines not to be crossed.

But funny is funny.

I could never go vegan… I’m eating Chinese ribs right now. :D
