<p>me it’s Ponoma College because it’s small, make friends with the students, top ranked, and it’s by the waters and California.</p>

<p>Basically a small LAC with smart, semi-artsy kids in a gorgeous location.</p>
<p>Any small LAC with a nice endowment. Plenty of money for nice labs, and plenty of smart undergrads. The only problem with that is that you’ve gotta want to teach. If I just cared about my own research, any big university with a large endowment and a big grad school in the area in which I’d teach would be best. Make those grad students WORK, that’s what I say XD</p>

<p>Agree with Curry…nice small LAC and you can’t beat the view at Pepperdine! Like the teacher/student rapport…hopefully inspiring the youth.</p>

<p>You mean professor right?***u need a PhD to teach at University. If you have a PhD you can be professor or doctor, not teacher (i get what you meant, but the correct job title is professor…teachers teach at levels below university)</p>

<p>Community College, I figure they are more in need of me then the already smart people at Ivys, UCs, Stanford, MIT, Rice, UNC, UT, UVA, UM…etc… don’t get offended if i forgot your school… and what not.
If you better the bottom of society your lowest point of it…is higher…improving you average. Smart people will do good regardless.</p>
<p>I would teach anywhere that has a campus (hint, not NYU) in an endearing and interesting place, had a small but strong department my field (zoology or evolutionary biology), and paid nontenured professors decently. Generous budgets for research and travel, and collaboration with nearby museums, zoological parks and other educational institutions would be a big plus. </p>
<p>Otherwise, University of Chicago, Rice, Carleton, Cornell, Princeton, Vermont, IU Bloomington, and Berkeley would be good choices.</p>
<p>Teaching Zoology at Oxford would also be very interesting.</p>
<p>I’d like to teach at Columbia. I am of course in no danger of doing so unless it is by the celebrity-cum-pop-professor path.</p>

<p>I know profs who love teaching at Davidson as well as William & Mary. Smart kids, low research pressure, good weather, great places to raise a family.</p>

<p>what we should really do is TFA-style teaching in underprivileged public schools. That’s where we can make a real difference rather than simply enjoy ourselves.</p>
