If you wrote this in your essay, take note!

“a feral howl came from my anus” oh wow… this person better get in

^It’s quite effective in evoking an image, no?

^A bit TOO effective.

I really do hope that Upenn admissions hears about this. It makes the university look horrible from an applicant’s point of view.

Google the quote about the feral howl and you’ll find the link to a story written about a year ago with that quote. If it was written by a Penn admissions officer, I’d like to think that they will be updating their resume at Staples as of tomorrow…

I do have to wonder how the person got these screen shots. Did he/she hack the admissions officer? That would be a massive breach of privacy as well.

^No, her privacy settings for that post was not set to “Friends only.” (If you look at the screenshot, the little gray icon that symbolizes privacy settings is set to friends of friends.)

Anyway, if jandjdad’s Google search revealed that something similar was written one year ago, then we may have a case of applicant plagiarism in our hands…

^ such story was indeed written a year ago, except the context is slightly different. Unless the applicant who wrote this essay wrote the very same story a year ago …

/\ It could be the same author, in fact it had better be because several of the sentences are verbatim…

Ya, i’m guessing same author…

A brief Google search reveals that the author is most likely an established writer (in fact, a graduate of Tennessee)…and NOT a current high school student/college applicant.

Well in the story, the author says the year is 2005, and then mentions himself as eleven-years-old, so the author would most certainly not be a college graduate, and could, in fact, be applying to college right now… Idk where you found this Tennessee stuff…

my apologies… o.0
