If your college was a teenager, how would he be?

So I figured this might be fun. Mention your college and describe what kind of teen he would be!

I go to Cal Poly Pomona.I’d say…

The quiet kid that’s pretty good at STEM but has no social life.

Not a lot of people have heard of my campus but plenty of employers have. So graduates do get jobs. This school is STEM oriented, which are where the hardest majors are at my school. Although, I wouldn’t say there is much of a social life here. The campus tries hard to engage the students, but it is usually still dead on the weekends. I’d blame the location mostly for the commuter feel (for freshmen), but if you DO have a car almost everything is close.

It’s not really that surprising to find a full computer lab at 12 AM.

I go to Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

I’d say it’d be a Mama’s Boy. OU is primarily a commuter school since it’s located in one of the hearts of metro Detroit, so a lot of people just come to class and go home, like a Mama’s Boy who spends his free time going home to his mother.

However, it’s also nice and respectful like a Mama’s Boy. All of our profs are nice and chill, and the campus has a friendly feel to it. We tend to have smaller class sizes, so people can get more attention and connections with their professors. It’s also full of nontraditional students coming to better themselves (a lot being nursing students), and this ties into the good heart and good intentions of a Mama’s Boy.

University of Oklahoma:
My college is a pretty smart jock who’s trying to rebel against his super conservative family, but still turns up his nose at people like UCSC and Reed.

Basically, OU is one of the most liberal schools in Oklahoma but that’s akin to saying someone is the least homophobic member of the Westboro Baptist Church. It’s a big sports school with the associated parties, athlete worship, etc. Most students who go here are somewhat academic but were nowhere near the top of their high school classes.

Miami University:

Rich, oblivious to non-privileged cultures, and a little obnoxious - just the way I like it.

I go to a small community college in South Carolina, but I’ll do my intended transfer: University of South Carolina. He’s an open minded “Christian” who likes to party on Saturdays and goes to church on Sundays (Bible Belt). He’s got a lot of different friends of different races (most diverse college in SC), has a lot of interests (over 70 majors!), but really loves football! (Gamecocks!). He wouldn’t be caught dead wearing anything other than garnet and black.
