So I’m still shell-shocked from what happened to my admission last summer and all of the paranoia has still not left me. Today I had my IGETC fully certified at my CCC, yet for some reason I have this feeling that once UCSD receives it, one of the officers will somehow perform an assessment of my CCC Counselor’s work on it and determine that it was not done correctly. For instance, in their assessment of it they may determine that one of the courses not taken at a CCC but that my CCC granted me credit towards (Area 3) was wrong on my CCC Counselor’s part, and thus UCSD will invalidate the “full IGETC certification” status, and revoke my admission in August. This, after permanently moving in and also paying for non-refundable surfing lessons in La Jolla.

So the question: Do UCs actually perform an examination of the CCC counselor’s IGETC certification once they receive it, which can potentially lead the UC to nullifying the IGETC if they determine it was incorrectly done by the CCC? No is my guess and what my intelligence tells me. But another part of me, the more emotional part, says that there is a reason to be concerned. Your answer is kindly appreciated!
