If You've been "Forwarded" FOREVER...

WELCOME!

What’s up USC hopefuls (hopeful is an understatement)? This thread is for everyone that is stuck, or has been stuck in what is often called “forwarded purgatory”. I’m not talking about being forwarded for like 6 days (yeah BOOHOO guys), I’m talking WEEKS/MONTHS.

I remember the good ol’ days, back when having “forwarded” was a good thing. Nowadays, it feels like quite the opposite, with all these young whippersnappers and their new, hip status changes, most people think the old “forwarded” is synonymous with rejection.

While things aren’t looking too hot for myself (they never were haha), I obviously haven’t given up ALL hope since I’m on CC everyday. I know many of you guys are in the same boat, so feel free to vent in this thread. Also, if you feel like posting your stats to see who your fellow “crewman” are, that’d be awesome.

Forwarded for about six weeks. Applied to Marshall.
GPA 3.4/4.05
SAT 2040
Above average EC’s with work experience related to major
Decent/good essay IMO, worked my butt off on the short answers, heartfelt letter of rec.

^While this extremely condensed version of my stats is by no means a clear reflection of what the admissions committee will see, it should at least help us find a correlation with everyone’s stats and the forwarded status (If this correlation even exists! haha).

This thread is just to kill time, so have with it. Good luck to everyone, I hope we all get in!

really? long forwarded status is a sign of rejection? ㅠㅠ

Hey,
the way I see it, is if we are meant to go USC, then thats awesome if not, then its cool, but matters is that we all tried our best to do everything, and the best attitude we can have right now, is just being neutral, Good luck to everybody! Go trojans! Fight on!
,Trojan Hopeful

I wouldn’t give up hope guys. I too have been ate Forwarded for over 2 months, but lets just look at the bright side of things. We still have a Week for that all to change :slight_smile: No rejections have been sent out yet so all hope is not lost!

In the same boat as you have been forwarded for about a month, i think I will receive the dreaded “R” word. lol. Check out my thread,

@ seosaerim

It certainly does not mean your rejected, but I know a lot of people that feel that way. Truly, no one knows what these statuses mean. We all just like to let our imaginations run wild at the thought of their significance.

@funnypunjabi

I like your thinking.

@A_Procastinator thanks!

Forwarded for over 2 weeks (not sure when it went to that status) - Applied to Viterbi

Stats
SAT 2130
GPA 3.98/4.69
EC: 4 years Football, 3 years Track & Field, various community service, couple of clubs
AP Classes: 8 total (AP Scholar)

I really don’t know what to think - I didn’t think it would be that hard for my son to get in here, but his friend got an acceptance last week, so now I don’t know.

I know for a bit I was worried, but then last thursday or friday (18 or 19) I jumped to forwarded and almost flipped, then I saw we needed reviewed. I applied to virtebi and then I saw most others for viterbi also got forwarded and accepted around that time. I got nervous but I’m HOPING that later on in the week I hear something. My stats fall in the range and I’ve got alumni status (former viterbi grad and another, current film grad school) but I forgot to mention it on my app so… I don’t really know at this point.

@ azmomof4boys (my mom also has 4 boys with no girls, I feel bad for both of you)

Your son’s stats look great, I’m surprised you haven’t heard back yet. it sounds like more acceptances just got sent out yesterday so watch the mail!

CLAS applicant in socal here. it has been 2 weeks…

This title sounds familiar…

“Forwarded Forever” sucks because we are seeing absolutely no change. I swear everyday I log onto USConnect and check my status and grow angrier each time I see the now dreaded “forwarded”. It’s narrowing down to the last weeks, however the days of waiting are growing longer.

I’m now starting to tell myself to ignore the whole realm of statuses and just wait for the mail to arrive. Hopefully that will take effect soon because I am starting to get a stress overload! The good news is the waiting will all be over shortly, we just have to make it through these last two weeks! Good luck to all applicants, keep hoping for the best!!

@ A_Procrastinator - thanks. Don’t feel sorry for me (or your mom), I love it and I’m sure she does too. ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed! One thing I just thought of - we were on vacation last week and I had our mail held and then delivered on Friday. I wonder if something got misplaced? Yes, I’m grasping at straws now.

@ procrastinator: thanks for your reply.
