I want to sign a transfer agreement with UC Davis through my community college next week.

Problem: UC Berkeley can’t send my summer session grade (official transcript) to my CC until mid-September.

Do I even need official transcripts from all other schools that I’ve attended for my appointment to get certified? Will unofficial transcripts be good enough?

Am I in an advantageous position for planning to have all of my IGETC courses completed by the end of this fall, instead of next spring? (I’m applying this November).

PLEASE, its two questions. ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT IGETC, help me figure this out…

My classes have started and I fear that I wont be able to sign an agreement with Davis if Cal doesn’t send my CC, my Cal transcript :(

but I dont know the process for getting ceritified, so please help a sister out.

Typically we only need unofficial records for the TAA process. Please work with your transfer center at your Community College to start the process. IGETC is not considered as part of the admissions process. You may finish the IGETC pattern at any time before you enroll at our campus. Even if you don’t complete it there will be no difference in your application.

What do you mean "even if you dont complete it it wont make a difference?

You mean that IGETC doesn’t matter if I’m about to sign an agreement?

Also, what if to sign an agreement, I need to remain a full-time student at my community college. If I end up not sticking to being a full-time student and become a part-time student in the spring, will that affect my admissions?

Well you would be following the requirements under hte transfer agreement not IGETC. I am currently following the IEGTC plan which basically allows me to tranfer to most universities because it mimics what 2 years of education at a 4 year university. If i had taken an agreement instead i would have to follow the stipulations of that agreement and not IEGTC.

IGETC does not have any effect on admissions to UC Davis, nor does it have an effect on a TAG contract. If the TAG contract states you must stay a full time student then of course you would need to enroll as a full time student. Typically we require that you are a full time student at the time the TAG is written and if enrolled for the spring term prefer that you are a full time student as well. Please discuss this with your community college since exceptions can be made depending on the circumstances.
