IGETC vs. UC Transfer Admission Eligibility Courses

<p>If you go to assist you see these two categories. What’s the difference between these courses?</p>

<p>UC Transfer Admission Eligibility courses are courses that you must complete, usually by the end of the spring quarter prior to transfer, to even be considered as an applicant. These courses include some Math and English courses.</p>

<p>IGETC courses do not impact your eligibility as an applicant. IGETC is a curriculum plan one can follow to fulfill the General Education requirements for that university. IGETC works for most liberal arts programs for UC’s and CSU’s. </p>

<p>Most competitive applicants will have completed both IGETC in addition to the necessary UC Transfer Admission Eligibility courses.</p>
