Ignorance thread

I was talking w/ my friend the other day, and one scary conclusion that popped into my mind was that I really don’t know anything about the real world.

Here’s my list:

~I’m taking physics, but I really don’t understand how electricity works. I hear the background and how dams transform kinetic energy into electrical energy, but as soon as I go beyond that, I’m lost.

~I don’t understand how my car works. I would really like to be able to stop learning so I could learn something that’s actually useful.

~How does the federal government “borrow money”? Seriously, do they have a checking account? They get money from China…in what, a tanker? lol

~Not even my electrical engineering friends in college can help me with this: how’d we get from the punch-card computers to the green-test computers to the graphics computers? It seems that there isn’t really a single person in the world that understands all of it at once.

Who wants to add to my ignorance thread? Anyone?

I’d tell you, but then I would have to kill you.
