Gee thumper, I guess I must do my own version of ignoring. Sometimes I don’t even go to annoying threads when I know one particular has been dominating the discussion or asks non-stop retorical questions. (There was one multi-page thread here recently that, when I clicked to see who was filling the discussion had a 4:1 ratio of posts. I avoided that one.)

And the results of our testing youdon’tsay, shows that if you have someone on ignore, you will not receive PMs from them. You won’t even receive a notice that they tried to send you a PM. It was a very scientifically run experiment, but you won’t see the results published in any known journal!

I didn’t even know it was possible to ignore a poster! Hmmm…

I really want people to know when I’m ignoring them…

Consolation, remember, you can put someone on ignore, but when you scroll through a thread, you will still see that they have posted, you just won’t see the content of the post.

However! On each individual post that has its content blocked, there’s an option to “View Post” which allows you to see that individual post and will not remove that person from the ignore list if you click on it.
