Ignoring/Removing Transfer Credit

So I have a problem/question for you guys.

I took 9 credits worth of biology [8 B+ and 1 B] during high school. These credits were through a university [Not the same one I’m going to now] so when I went to college with those credits, I transferred those credits as well. Now I’m in Political Science and Econ and those bio credits are just sitting there hurting my GPA.

My question is, is it possible to remove or ignore those transfer credits? Has anyone heard of that before?

No.

10char.

It’s not as simple as a “No” per se - although because it was high school this is rather tricky.

Normally you would be able to academically renew - I wouldn’t know how that would affect high school now. You cann do that to “remove” the credits. However you can NOT ignore them.

…Well, you CAN, but if you get caught your college career is over.

You can’t ignore them, but on resumes, etc. you can always put the GPA you’ve earned at your current school.

Can’t ignore them or remove them…wouldn’t make much sense for colleges to allow that

He could do academic renewal if he’s at a school that allows it, but that dumps all credit, not just selected credit you want to dump.

A lot of schools don’t count transfer credit as a part of their institution GPA… Bt I don’t think there is a way to remove it once it’s there. And even if you did get rid of it, if you chose to apply to law school or something, they would see those grades when you do since you need to submit them.

Just write on your resume the GPA earned at your current school. No one actually checks.

You should ask your registrar. When I was applying, all my colleges told me that transfer credit would be recorded as Credit/No Credit on the transcript and the GPA would be from their college only.

Same with high school/college in high school classes. They just show up as CR.
